West Nile Virus Alert
It’s that time of year when caution should be paid to the potential for West Nile Virus. A wet spring, with standing water can yield billions of mosquitoes, many of whom can carry the West Nile Virus. Some parts of the country are more prone than others. Coaches should check the areas where they practice for standing water and presence of mosquitoes. Using a good insect repellent when mosquitoes are present is wise.
